Has hiring slowed down?
Anyone from EYP…I’m applying to “Strategy & Transactions Working Capital Consultant/Senior”. I have the experience, six sigma, PMP etc stated in the description. How can I proactively position myself to earn the interview? I’m afraid I might get auto rejected because I have way more than 2 years experience, but I know industry experience is weighted different. Appreciate any help, insight, or anyone willing to chat. Bonuses are EYP are negligible. Though after one year you'll be at 170 base so that'll be good
✋ for getting 2 written offers!!

McKinsey if you can get in. S& next if you’re in a Booz-heavy group. EYP next.
EYP bonuses are 5-10%. S& are double for a middle performer and triple for a top performer. And your base at S& will be 148k in your second year. So make the decision on experience rather than money there

I think our Fit for Growth platform came from leaders in the Org Strategy group. So actually may be a pretty strong group.
You’re getting base $115k at McKinsey? That’s not fresh BA. I think I would lean McKinsey if I were you. It looks like the comp difference isn’t that big of a deal, but the brand gap is. If you were coming in at the post-MBA position for S& or EYP then my answer would be different, but you’re not.
Well that is either all in comp and the recruiter misspoke, or it’s a Senior BA role. So you should clarify if it actually becomes relevant.
EYP→ McK → S&
This is what I’m thinking too tbh
Do you have all of these offers? But Mck or EYP depending on when you’re planning to leave consulting
I would say take EYP then - you’ll get 170K in a year and it’s not industry aligned

A3 at S& means you’re less than a year away from making 150k base / 200k all in, the jump between A and SA is big

I believe you can be A3B at Strategy& if you need an extra year. But it’s not as common

I feel like mck for better brand and long-term growth? Ey wouldn't be bad either. What's the work look like for both roles?
