Starting a new job in Pyrmont in January. Where should I live? I'm a single female in my early 30s, looking for 1BR ~$500/w. Ideally somewhere near the water/beaches.

Been doing some research and Pyrmont is a pain to get to. I'm new to Sydney so any advice is much appreciated!

Reverse it. It's actually a pain to get public transport to the Eastern suburbs. Buses are really your only option unless you're living in Bondi Junction.

I used to work in Pyrmont. You can walk across the bridge from Wynyard station or somewhere around there.

I guess the north end of pyrmont is on the water, or you could live in Balmain or the north shore and get the ferry/bus to pyrmont, or the top of of glebe near blackwattle bay has sort of a beach and is by the water. Eastern suburbs were deliberately kept as a public transport blackhole (other than Bondi Junction) - best way for them to keep out the poors

I am looking to make a career change to HR. I currently make 75K as a sales and development coach. I had a recent offer for a state government position in a talent acquisition role but I’d be taking a $25K pay cut. I am extremely over qualified for the position but it could possibly be a stepping stone and gives me the time to acquire SHRM certifications and possibly start taking classes to get my MBA. My question is those currently in an HR role, would this move make sense to you?

Hey ZSers,

I have been selected into ZS for the BTAC role under CCM(Customer-Centric Marketing). My YOE is 3.8 in Cognizant, and the domain is ETL, DW, cloud(AWS).

My question is, ZS is giving a great package compared to what I have in Cognizant (Above 100% hike), and Cognizant is ready to retain me by giving somewhere 50%-60% hike. Will ZS be a good choice for me to switch? In terms of growth, technologies, work, pay. Or should I accept what cognizant is giving and get retained?

I haven’t done caselaw research since 1L and this isn’t even my practice… wtf do I do (I am fully utilized in my normal work and have a few deals closing soon…)

Seeking advice: I’ve been working as an analyst at a PE company for 18months 4 days a week on a part time contract and I feel like they are under paying me. I’m earning 42.2K p.a They want me to go full time as I am graduating however I don’t know what the base salary for an analyst with 18 months experience would be. My friend who works as an analyst (with less experience than me) is earning 70K. Would love to get a sense of what I should be expecting / asking for when I go full time. Thanks!
