The member gets sick while on sabbatical and, upon the member's anticipated return to work, submits FMLA for an additional month. The HR manager alters the employee's last day worked as if the member never went on sabbatical prior to experiencing medical issues.The company's sabbatical policy is vague. Malicious intent is obvious! Thoughts?

She declined the meeting and directed me to review the policy documentation online and email her with any specific questions I have. Is that normal? USI folks - Do you know if the Sum assured of the health insurance offered by Deloitte is for per year or total. Context, I am currently at Deloitte US and thinking of requesting a USI transfer because of a serious health issue for one of my parents. I recently accepted a position with a new org. One of the benefits I asked about with offer was the parental leave policy and was told (in writing by HR) 16 weeks paid after 1 year, which is as good as you can hope for in US. Now I’ve been sent the employee handbook to review/sign and it says only 12 weeks, which is less than the org I’m leaving. What might my recourses be to negotiate 16 weeks when the time comes? Also, should I be viewing this is a red flag?
