Tax if you want more money in the short term as it pays more than audit in public accounting at all levels. Audit if you want more money in the long term as there are more exit opps to executive level roles.

Tax auditor

funny

I am biased as I am in tax and grass is always greener else where. From my past few years watching, I lean more towards audit as it seems as more exit opportunities if you were to start in PA.
Good luck

Audit for long term

Curiosity question - I’m a naturally very chatty senior and I’ve noticed that the staff 1s who are starting remotely and living at their parents’ home (which makes a ton of sense with the remote working) that I’ve been working with seem to want to chat about both semi related work stuff and non work stuff a fair amount. If you’re a staff living at home, do you enjoy having seniors who will chat with you about random things or would you rather just get your work done and log off?
