Outside counsel has been prepping company witnesses for a trial in August. It is my subject area so I am supervising outside counsel. I did not, however, choose the counsel. He is doing a really awful job. Co counsel is better, but not great either. Higher ups love the firm… I do not want to micromanage, but I have genuine concerns about outside counsel’s ability to try this case. Currently playing on a social sand league once a week. We have a couple crappy players and a couple decent players. Funny how the crappy players are SUPER competitive/critical of every point, but every time *they* miss a hit was an “impossible shot” and “no way they could return it” 😂 trying to coach without being rude is a fine line! 🤷🏼‍♀️ it’s still fun and gets me thru the week!
