Chiang Mai - sticky waterfall, the boxing matches, the white temple (Wat Rong Kung) is also pretty cool (would skip the blue and black temples)
Skip Krabi - wayyy to over populated with tourists and immigrants making it very unauthentic.
we’re staying in a luxury beach resort away from the crowds, and wanted the few days to just relax after a hectic year. I guess it sounds like you can’t escape the tourists in chiang mai either but i’m okay with that since i’m also a tourist !
Take a water taxi in Bangkok and check out some of the street food vendors. Just make sure anything you eat is hot / fresh.

Chiang Mai - full spa day will run you about $80. Definitely recommend. Also, the night market is a wild and interesting place.
First lesson: Bangkok is not Bangkok. It’s pronounced “Krung-tape.” It’s actually longer than that and means “city of angels” but it shows more respect
Thanks?
One week is nowhere near enough to do all three. I would spend a couple days in BKK first. Bangkok is a great and peacefully chaotic city. Then choose either mountains OR beach for the other few days. Chiang Mai has more touristy stuff than Chiang Rai, but I prefer the latter, less tourists, less traffic, etc. Still plenty to do and see.
It’s gonna be great! Learn to say please and thank you- that will bring out even more of the warm thai hospitality!
Ehh can you skip Bangkok or cut it to one day? If you’ve been in any other big city in the world, Bangkok is entirely missable
Ok, agree to disagree I guess lol
You can see the sites in one day. After that there’s just a lot of shopping malls and traffic
Krabi- buy the green tea in the supermarket
