Anyone with a concealed carry has lots of training of how to interact with law enforcement. The first thing that you do is announce the presence of the weapon and then follow all instructions.
What you are trying to reframe is that he was protesting, obstructing the agents, and then fought with them. All the while, he knew he was armed.
He went there looking for a fight, it seems.
A tragedy of which he is responsible. He had many moments that he could have chosen to cooperate and exit that situation. He chose to escalate instead and he lost his life and endangered many people.
