The company I'm interviewing with said they're open to remote arrangements, but when I asked about the salary range, they were pretty vague. I really want decent pay AND the option to work from home 2-3 days a week. Should I still negotiate pay or be happy with the much-needed hybrid option?

You should always negotiate pay, so long as you’re reasonable about it. The idea that you’re paid less for hybrid working conditions is bizarre - you’re being paid for your contribution, not for where you work. If the company is going to use the hybrid working environment to stick to their offer, that’s a red flag for me (simply because they’re not bright enough to simply say “this is as high as we can go”).

Given this job market, be thankful you've got an offer.

I don't see any reason not to negotiate pay, regardless of the working arrangement. Hybrid is a great perk, but it doesn't make up for a terrible salary. Wait until they officially make the offer to determine how hard you want to press during negotiations. As long as you're tactful about it, they shouldn't rescind.

I would try to negotiate both - it can’t hurt to ask!

Wouldn’t hurt to negotiate. Worst they can say is no.

I've been interviewing with another company for about a month. The whole process has been 3 interviews over a months time. I have been in my current role over 6+ years (as HR mgr) and it's very transactional and not very strategic. The new company wants someone to lead a team from a senior level (HR Director) - what advice do you have for taking the next step in my career? I'm likely going to take the offer if it comes.

Should I Go Back and Reneg? Recently I was offered a role as a Project Implementation Manager (In Retirement Services) .The salary range for Colorado residents was 65-89K. I’m located in NY so the recruiter said he would try to get me more. Ultimately he came back at 90K which is a bit inline with that I was seeing on Glassdoor but approx looks like I may leave 10-12K on the table. I accepted already but may get an offer from another HR company in account management around 90-100K. Need advice

I renegotiated my start date and it’s different from the date I signed on the offer letter. Do I need to request a revised offer letter or is the email thread with the recruiter sufficient. By the way, my background check is already in progress.

I got a job offer but it's 3k less than the low end of my happy range. But there will be a review in 6 months with the potential for a raise. I'd rather start at the low end of range. What is the best way to ask for that??

When I negotiated my comp, all my discussions were around me being a junior and I only accepted my comp for that reason (would not have accepted if I was step above junior since it was low). Negotiations happened with HR, but my offer letter and documents never mention junior (but I have proof from HR saying I am a junior). How do I approach this with my boss as I’m not sure she’s aware I’m actually technically a junior? Revolving around asking for a move up + raise
