My last organization haven’t paid the FnF money to me and many others. I left the org in July 2021 but haven’t received even 30% of the amount. There are more than 20 ex employees who are facing the same issue. No one wants to get involved in a court case and thus there is no pressure on the org. They keep giving excuses of pandemic/resource crunch etc. They hadn’t paid the govt TDS for many years so now all the new revenue is going to pay that. Any suggestions on who to reach out?

Mid-level associate at a mid-size regional insurance defense firm practicing coverage litigation. Salary is capped b/c my firm only does I.D./coverage and has no direct-hire comm clients. Second round of interviews with a comm lit boutique where I would be the only associate with 5 partners. Other than partner track, salary/benefits, and switching from coverage to general comm lit, what qualities of the move should I be thinking about as I weigh my options? Confused why Wachtell qualifies as BigLaw when they have one (small) office

I have a partner that calls me multiple times a day to talk about updates on our cases. Sometimes just to ask “anything to update me on?” He’s known across all of the associates for doing this. Most of the calls repeat information I’ve already provided in emails to him or the client. I normally bill this time as “strategize on” or “consider XYZ in further of” and it keeps getting appealed. Any advice?

I'm a third year plaintiff's employment law attorney and I'm looking to move to defense, preferably still in employment law. I received an offer from a midsize firm that primarily focuses on PI with little-to-no employment law practice, so I'll have a bit of a learning curve. Offer is $90k, billable hours of 2100. Is this reasonable? I'm dead-set on leaving my current job, and this would be a $20k pay increase - which makes me believe I'm leaning towards taking it for those reasons only.

Probably a foolish question: are bonuses based off of raw billable hours or billable hours modified by the partners?
