Anyone take the CIPM recently? How was it?

Just took the training recently and some colleagues have already taken the exam. If you work in privacy and already hold a CIPP certification, should be a cakewalk is what their review was.

This was my experience also, although it has been a few years for me.

Took it a few months ago. Already held the CIPP/US and found CIPM to be much easier. Mostly a lot of common sense with some definitions and terms you’ll need to memorize.

I’m doing the reverse. Did CIPM first now need CIPP. I didn’t find the CIPM to be that difficult but I did study for it much like I did for the bar exam.

like

Did you do an outside training or the IAPP’s own training! Been thinking about doing this one next, took the CIPP/US a few months ago.

Training is terrible, materials outdated and some mistakes in the content. It's really easy to pass, but definitely not worth it

Can someone discuss the pros and cons of having a gym close to work vs having a gym near home but still would have to commute there, go back home then go to work. To me it seems more convenient to just on the way to work go to the gym, shower, then go into the office.

Ps: yes, I'm in the office.

I applied for a job and received an offer from my client. 15k+ bump in salary, better benefits/remote work, and responsibilities will give me exposure to all areas of the organization (start up). The problem is that they’re looking to staff me as a Senior when I’m currently a Manager at DT. They said they’re flexible on title, but curious to hear how others have navigated similar situations. I would report directly to the controller and have 1-2 staff reporting to me...

I have a friend who was let go a few months into his first job after college (reason: the manager felt like he wasn't grasping the training content to the level that was expected). He's worried about if he should put the experience on his resume anyway, if he does will recruiters ask why he had such a short time at this place, and what will recruiters think if he explains he was let go. What are some things recruiters expect from candidates in this situation to continue considering them?
