How can one transition from a Visual/graphic designer in marketing to a product designer? And what’s it like being a product designer w a visual design background? PMI question: My home has appreciated by 20-30% in the last year (hot area), I've added about 5% to the home's value, and my LTV is 89%. I asked to remove PMI and my company said I was not eligible to even get an appraisal until the 2 year mark. Has anyone found a way to remove PMI early in similar circumstances?

I’ve maybe read 5 books over the last 10 years… My teams over the years are always talking about all the books they read and providing recommendations, but luckily people tend to be more interested in sharing what they read rather than listening so I’ve made it this far. My uncle I met a week ago suddenly died. He hid his heart condition from his wife, my aunt. He was having tea in the morning when he had a stroke. She did not have a last word or consider the possibility that he’d pass away so suddenly and soon. She is beating herself up over how he left and they didn’t have a chance to talk that morning. I moved to USA in 2017 on F1 visa. I was not selected for H1-B in the 3 years of my OPT. While my company is transferring me to Canada and can potentially get me back on L1 visa, the shifting situation is stressing me out. The thought of moving to another country in a couple of months is causing a lot of anxiety and tough luck with the lottery is making me feel depressed.

I am an Immigrant living in America. My wife’s friend is an American and she is a physician. She has been in job for about 5 years now and earns somewhere around $300K-$400K. Still she shops mostly at thrift stores for clothes accessories and yesterday got 2 chairs from Salvage Army for $5 each. I have not see anyone else like her before. Is she a miser or is this a normal American frugal living tendency?
