I impulsively spent $400 on concert tickets before I left my last job. Now I’m entering my third month at a new job and I’m worried it’s too early to take off to go. At the very least I would have to sign off an hour or two early to be able to make it on time. But I feel awkward asking because generally I wouldn’t take off this early. Am I going crazy? I feel like my close friend is always trying to “one up” me in conversation. Any time I make a point, they will go out of their way to prove I’m wrong with some sort of stat or evidence. It’s like they need to have the last say.
