Accept and then recruit if you’re actually torn. If you get an offer, you can make the decision then. However, there’s nothing wrong with finding the a firm you really like and sticking with it. Cultural fit is supremely important. Believe it or not, there are folks (not many) at smaller firms or B4 that turned down MBB because they felt they’d have better WLB.
Why have you not tried for MBB already? If you have an offer on the table, it seems like bad idea to turn it town so that you can try to go into recruitment.
Then you’ve got all the cards. Keep the offer and shoot for the moon at MBB. The experience of interviewing and networking is invaluable, even if you already have a safe offer.
McKinsey has a 18-24 month cool off period (forgot how long), but not sure if that applies for internship to full time
I got dinged for summer internship but applied for full time a year later so don’t think it applies.
Exactly.
Take the internship. Do well and get full time offer. In the mean time, recruit for MBB. Internships are like practice, just helps prepare you for the actual game
Yeah I have been doing internships but did not get interviewed at McKinsey. 😭😭
I think I am just trying to stay at Accenture and re apply for McKinsey next year or so.
