I have an offer from a T2 firm that I really like and aligns well with my career & life goals for the next several years. MBB has better pay/prestige/exit opps. Am I making a mistake if I kind of just want to accept and not even try to recruit at MBB?

been in industry (small companies) for 5 years with an active CPA. Wanted to get in SEC reporting roles but almost every company requires 2-year public accounting exp. Now applying for public accounting firms entry level positions but almost all firms HR asked if I had ever worked in firms. Got rejection emails from firms all the time. Is this a dead lock? firms exp matters much more than a CPA license?

Any PA firms offer part time jobs? I want to go back to grad school next year but I need a part time job. I’m currently at PwC (I’m aware of PwC’s FWA but I’m not interested in that).

HR pros - I have a question for you. I got disappointing news that I didn’t get either of the roles I applied for. I was shocked because the interviews went really well and my experience was in line, if not on the higher end of requirements. I was told that it was my salary and job title expectation. I am a mid level and have received an offer from a regional big law firm in a non-market paying location. I believe the firm would be a great fit and the location is where I want to be. The biggest issue is money. I’d be lateraling from full cravath in a major market and the initial offer I received is a bit off that (read: 50% salary reduction). While the market is cheaper in some respects, housing is not. How far can I expect this firm to go to in terms of compensation? Any negotiation tips?

I just left t2 strategy for a boutique firm, and I already regret it. I thought I liked consulting but wanted a different culture, but I realize that I don’t like strategy consulting- the timelines are too stressful and I don’t want to travel anymore.
