There's a company out of Orlando, Florida called Rooney Roofing Company that's run by a criminal that likes to hire people as 1099 employees and then not pay them for the work they've completed along with not paying material suppliers. The owner, Jacob Rooney, comes off as charismatic in the beginning but it doesn't take long for people to step forward and start warning you that he has a long history of using people and refusing to pay them. Beware of this narcissistic sociopath.

Does anyone feel that the Oil and Gas industry is the most discriminatory industry of all? They won’t even look at resume without O&G experience! It does not make sense to me as I would rather teach someone the specifics of an industry if they were a good fit. And for an industry that has so many obstacles from Government, Environmental Organizations and so on, why they are adding more bad publicity to themselves is not a great approach.
