There’s one job that the firm (let’s call it firm A) posts on its site publicly. Its Paralegal Manager also reached out to me in December. Last week, this recruiter approached me for a position with firm B. She also mentioned that she’s recruiting for firm A and can get me a higher salary. I told her my salary requirement for firm B position. She said she will check and get back to me. That was Friday. I followed up twice since then but heard nothing.

Should I ignore her submit application to firm A myself? I’m trying to leave my current job ASAP. I applied another job recently with firm C and it got back to me today for round 1 interview. So, I want to submit my applications and start interviews at same time.

I have an offer for $130k for a senior attorney position in a boutique L&E firm. Also have a recruiter who thinks she can get me into another for $150-170k. Both are more than I’ve ever made (Denver, 17 yrs of experience but completely different practice areas). Any tips for countering the $130k offer for more using the other potential offer while not risking a complete withdrawal of the current offer? I’ve never been in a position to bargain my starting salary so this is all very new to me.
