Not quite downtown but THPRD is a recreation center where they have a lot of tennis lesson options (you do need to get in during registration period though)

Following. I to want to take lessons this fall.

Same - don’t know of any downtown but there’s a tennis shop on NE Broadway that would be a great resource. They could tell ya all the options :)

There are also usually meetups for beginners and people looking to play and have fun!

There are courts on the south side (they’re almost always busy) and then some on the north side (less courts but usually much less busy).

Nothing to add but glad to see some portland activity in here!

LOL I'm ready for it guys I'm here

It’s not downtown but not far on the east side there’s Irvington Tennis Club. 21st and Thompson I think.

I'm new to this bowl as well! I think we need to get it active for sure! Would love to do some meet ups and get to meet some other friends.

I’m in SE, if you want to play tennis. I’m still new to it, but I can play a competitive game. Would love to meet anyone who wants to play or join a class.

I would love if we could make it more active. I am always looking to meet new friends and new people.

How do you come up with your labs to make sure they are aligned with the unit.? I feel like I am doing well on EOC scores but I feel like my class is a drag because we just drill concepts and the labs are not making the connections I’d like between the lesson and the activity. It becomes them just following my instruction and not much scientific processing or troubleshooting to come up with the conclusion. I want to make scientist not just students that pass the EOC.

Would you mind helping an art director who also lectures in art direction schools please: what has been the most exciting or memorable or useful lecture in your Art Direction school/course as students? I want to give real value they can spend professionally and not blah blah, so I am interested in what you people have considered a valuable input.
Please no suggestions like "Change your studies until it's too late" (because I have already done that lesson haha --and they are still there)

I got an email last night from a 7th-grade parent because her son said I mentioned the words "male privilege" in class, and she is very concerned about how that is related to ELA (she said "reading"), and she is concerned about this being taught in public schools. To be clear, I didn't do a lesson on this subject but we did discuss rights versus privileges. I've had multiple parents contact the school/get upset with me because of things like his. It's exhausting... Thoughts?

I feel like I am very naive and cannot read between the lines, so I can’t tell if someone is trying to fuck me over or not. This leads me to be extremely skeptical of others’ intentions, and makes me less confident that I can influence others, and in general really erodes my self-confidence. Does anyone else feel similarly? If so, how have you dealt with it?
