Thinking about getting a hair transplant…worried about appearance for the immediate months after the procedure at work / on zoom calls? Anyone ever do it or have thoughts?

My manager did this! Honestly no one really cared and he worked from home for a bit after. I am sure you look great just as you are but exciting move if this is what you want!

Had one done in 2020 with Bosley, incredibly happy I did—though I’d go to Colombia or Turkey next time (significantly cheaper per follicle).

The biggest issue is in the first 10 days because you can’t scrub your head showering. There will be some dried blood from the procedure that takes about 8-10 days to naturally fall off/you can scrub after that time. I had it done for a receding hairline so it was far more obvious. The follicles then all fall out after about 1.5-2 months and permanently re-grow after (~1 cm per month).

If you can I’d recommend doing it end of week, and be off camera the following week for client-facing calls to cover those first 10 days, and then it’s fine. Can answer anything else if needed.

For sure! They do shave the hair in the areas they pull follicles from and where they place them, though (like a #1 buzz cut, but they do it haphazardly/in spots), so for longer-haired females those first few months may be tougher

Question for MJ stock enthusiasts...thoughts on $HITIF (High Tide Inc.)?

Seems to be picking up a lot of traction lately as it is Canada’s largest MJ retailer in regards to revenue. Seems to be undervalued from the general things I’ve looked at...

Can’t be found on some brokers like robinhood, but they sent in an app to be listed on the NASDAQ sometime soon.

Okay so I’m a newly licensed attorney in a very conservative part of TX. I just got my first job offer and I was worried at first thinking that I was in “Trump” territory, but I tested the waters in my interview and spoke about police injustices and how prosecutor’s job is not only to protect victims, but also defendants from police injustices. I have to let them know by tomorrow, but thoughts on if this is a good career move for someone who wants to work in transactional work-RE or Bankruptcy?

Hi Fishes,

I was offered RSUs for the first time as part of my compensation. I think I understand the concept as such but there are a few intricacies I was looking to clarify. Could anyone let me know if my grant date is 9th nov, 2022 and vesting period is 1 year, will I get RSUs allotted at the price of stock on grant date or vest date (in this case 9th nov, 2023)? Happy to connect in DMs as well

Thank you for your time!

I have worked in marketing for about 6-7 years. First few years were in social media management. My goal is to work at a big tech company.

I’ve heard mixed results about the ROI of earning an MBA. My near future goal is to move into a Marketing Director (or senior manager) role.

1) How much does Google, Amazon, Microsoft, etc. value MBAs in the hiring process?

2) Anyone currently working at the companies above with only a BBA?

Current situation: Marketing Manager, 90k, NYC.

Foreign LLM student here. I plan to take the NY bar exam in February. I’m thinking of taking a bar prep course (most likely Barbri). They offer two options: the “traditional” course (which lasts around 2.5 months) and an extended 6-month course. The difference in price is substantial – 2.5k for the traditional course vs 6k for the extended one. Any thoughts/recommendations on which one I should take? In case it is helpful, I come from a civil law country. Thanks!

Who on this bowl feels an obligation to support their parents if they retire early and run out of money? This is causing some strife with my SO. My parents have planned very well and would never dream of putting me in a position to financially support them. My SOs parents retired early, and we are worried they won’t have enough of end of life care is necessary (which is almost inevitable). continued…

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
