I was offered RSUs for the first time as part of my compensation. I think I understand the concept as such but there are a few intricacies I was looking to clarify. Could anyone let me know if my grant date is 9th nov, 2022 and vesting period is 1 year, will I get RSUs allotted at the price of stock on grant date or vest date (in this case 9th nov, 2023)? Are there any firms that market a slightly different lifestyle than maybe the V10 for M&A lawyers (or more broadly)? Considering a move in 2023 and thinking law firms still may be the best fit for comp and experience but also want to escape some of the crazy culture of working a ton, difficult clients, partners never pushing back on timelines etc. Perhaps I’m looking for the unicorn firm that does not exist.

Looking to branch out from mid-market work (currently editing on salary, full-time) and get into some more challenging and *hopefully* national work as a side-gig (or full-time remote) via freelance or becoming a name on a roster. Has anyone else made this very specific transition? Would love advice on pitching to other post houses, agencies, etc. Just looking to add some diversity to my portfolio to break up all the credit union and insurance company TV spots.

When you want to negotiate aspects of your compensation / bonus / working arrangements, should you have a conversation with the group head first, then approach HR? Or should you email HR with group head cc'd?

I have joined LTI in May still no onboarding they just say we are trying for vdi access. If I get other opportunity outside can I join there and abscond from LTI. So last year in October, when I received the compensation letter, it stated that my annual fixed compensation would be INR 6,38,275.

Now I'm getting a gross salary of 51,137/month. Means annually 6,13,644.

I had my first round interview at CTS on 24th July. It went kind of ok . Today evening I got call from HR regarding total experience /relevant experience and salary discussion, and he said that he will send link regarding BGV where I need to send the documents. Now again I got mail from talent acquisition team cc'ing the same HR that they have scheduled interview tomorrow at 5pm. How many technical rounds does it have?or is this interview is managerial one/ HR specific?

Newbie advice?? I recently accepted a payroll specialist job for $23/ hour starting, ability to increase after 90 days. I have little recruiting experience, no school/certs and reside in San Diego area. Is this fair? I want to go back to at least get my bachelors is HR management, and I have an HR internship lined up.
