What’s best path for an MBA application? Currently at Deloitte, will stay until 1-2 YOE and then exit to one of the following potential paths:
1. Stay at Deloitte until applying
2. Switch to MBB and then apply
3. Switch to FAANG and then apply
4. Switch to a “T2” tech firm and then apply
5. Quit and join/create a startup and then apply
Do you guys think there will be limited opportunities doing a SE role in a small country (limited clients and potential leads)?
I have a 25K loan from my MBA. I paid off 100k whole, after graduation. 3 years ago, I moved my loan from federal to private ( SOFI) account. I recently lost my job. I have applied for unemployment, as the severance that I received will only cover for 2 months. Together my husband and I used to make less than 250k after tax. Now, with a loss of pay , we are going to make less. Do you think I will be eligible for Loan forgiveness?
Tips on how to position your resume to be taken seriously by brand side, vs agencies? Can anyone share any Do and Do Nots? I’m a strategy director if that helps.

Hi - new to fishbowl. Was recently laid off and wondering if there are recruiters in NYC that people have used for finding a new CRM position? Thx in advance!
Thoughts on working in-house early in career versus the other way around? I’m a student and my past experience and internship offers are heavy on the in house ‘startup’ d2c brand archetype... Will this hurt my chances of later going into an agency role? Concerned if I’m pigeonholing myself too early.
Is anyone here an underwriter for Intact Insurance in Canada?
Please share your experience with the company. Positives and negatives about work environment, management, work life balance, etc.
Currently debating if I should accept an offer from Intact or a higher paying position at another company.
Had a recruiter from a major hospital reach out to me. I asked for the position’s salary range. They said it’s based on experience. I forwarded the law that says if it’s requested, then it must be provided. 🤦🏻♀️ 🚩🚩🚩
I’m a boomerang employee and a friend of mine noticed that my company posted a similar job description to mine on indeed 10 days ago. My boss didn’t tell me they were hiring another person in our department (small department - 4 people). Should I be worried? Should I bring it up to my boss? I’m really stressing myself out over it. For reference I would consider myself a top performing employee / everyone was very excited when I boomeranged. Not sure if I’m overthinking (I do that a lot).
Does anyone have an app recommendation that is user-friendly, female-body friendly, provides recommendations of workout routines specific to using gym equipment, and if possible, has variety (not just do this move 3x, 12 reps over and over)? I’m thinking about joining a gym down the street that is just machines (no classes), but want to remove the headache of coming up with what to do there on my own. Thanks!
Is it totally weird to request another meeting after getting a job offer to make sure it's a right fit? 🤔
I've noticed that sometimes I still have lingering questions. ❔
I've been burnt out by toxic work environments, so I don't want to make another mistake. 🙄
How would you handle this logistics of this meeting? (Timing - after the offer but with time before you start? How to phrase the reason why?)
Any 🐠 from EY London? I'm planning to apply for UKI assurance based in London as Senior associate, just wanna wrap my head around the culture, work environment etc
Has anyone used both Lever AND Greenhouse ATSs? Our Lever agreement is coming up for renewal and I’m putting together a pitch to switch to Greenhouse. I would love any input into comparing the features so I can best ‘sell’ leadership on Greenhouse.

Can grad students get $20k forgiven if they got Pell in undergrad but outstaning loans are only for grad school?
Hi ladies! I’m going through a hard time - as the holidays are my favorite time of year. I’m starting to realize that giving gifts to my friends/family is GREAT... But I feel like everyone has everything. Has anyone done a large donation in their family members/friends names instead of doing Christmas gifts? Many families suffer every year. I’m struggling to justify my purchases now. I’d rather donate the money to charities supporting families that don’t have as much- advice?
Anyone at BCG willing to review my resume? Planning on applying to the Toronto office in the next week for the associate role - Boston Consulting Group
What resources are y’all using for prep? Of course I’m familiar with Case in point, rocket blocks, fast math, and b-school case books, but wanted to see if there are other resources people are finding helpful

Hi Ladies, First time posting here. Do you have any advice on how you deal with anxiety in meetings? I find myself getting very nervous in meetings that I don’t have time to prepare for. I then tend to be very wordy instead of sharing my point or statement concisely.
I am doing a product case study as part of product manager interview and have been asked to choose a product I use. I was thinking of fishbowl, but should I, or could the choice become a concern for them to hire me?
Post your product management book recommendations here! I'll start:
1. The lean product playback
3. The design thinking playbook
What are your go to books!?
There was a post about product role headhunters that I thought would be something we can all tap into as people pitch in.
Are you guys personally invested in the products that you manage? As in, are you a user? Do you have a personal interest in the product? Have you managed a product that you don't particularly care for? And how is that going?
Our company went through an exercise of redefining product roles - from business analyst, product owner, product manager to assoc pm, pm, senior pm etc. The concept is everyone with same skills - with different competency levels. My question is - what about interest? I am energized by execution, not so much strategy. Is product management for me, or should I be looking at other career paths? Note: I am not overly ambitious, but do want to have a good salary for my retirement savings😉
Hey fam! What are your thoughts around, "Mind the Product" as a development tool to help you enter the next step in your career?
Do you ever feel guilty for jumping a job within 6 months of joining for a $40k+ salary bump? - not that you should by any means but how do you rationalize it? How do you not get attached to your team/colleagues/etc.?
I’ve been onboarding at a new company for a month. I’ve been assigned to PM something a director in another department originally proposed, but I am really struggling to work out how to deal with her territorialism and defensiveness. She is insisting on being in on every conversation I have with a stakeholder, gets angry if I answer a question asked directly of me, and shoots down literally everything I’ve suggested. Her team will do most of the implementation. Any ideas on how to “manage up”?
I just joined a new company that has many offices. I’m in Canada and plan to move to US eventually. I wasn’t planning to but it came out in my meeting with my new manager. How screwed am I? Does this look like I’m planning my out already?
Has anyone else worked with a manager that’s difficult to get a gauge on whether you’re meeting expectations? Tiny actions suggest that he doesn’t really like me/gel with me. How does one cope with hard to read bosses where you constantly feel like you’re not doing enough to the point that I now have anxiety about my work and wondering if my head is first on the chopping block if time came. When asked for feedback I don’t get much constructive criticism.
Is Grace Hopper a good convention to attend?
Hi! I am starting a new role where I will be responsible for building a technique to evaluate future opportunities where the company should invest. How do you evaluate new opportunities and define the criteria for prioritization?
I have a junior who is pregnant, she hasn’t announced her pregnancy yet to the wider team and she hasn’t asked me for a lighter workload, but I do feel guilty sending her more work. I want to make things easier for her. Am I approaching or managing her appropriately?
What are recommended places to post jobs if you're trying to get a diverse group of people to apply? It's important to me to have a balanced team, but sometimes fear LinkedIn or traditional routes might overlook women or minority applicants. I'm likely going to be hiring in 2022 on the product management, product marketing, product design, and technical/data product management front. Thank you for your guidance.
Hello Ladies! What tips would you share with someone breaking into or wanting to break into product management?

There’s executive leadership certificate programs
It depends on how much experience you have had as PO and PM. Aside from getting certifications alone, have you has any real experience as PO/PM. Reason - if not, then focusing on developing PO skills and then PM would be a good focus. If you’re at Sr. PM level, then a higher development focus would be helpful.
I would look into executive leadership if you're already at the Sr. level. Otherwise, certifications that provide proof of your experience and expertise.
I'm trying to define my role as a PO. Feels like every day there is something new.
