Thinking of writing goals for my current role (started last month). What are you all doing for your professional development? I already have my MBA, PO/PM and Scrum Master certs.

What’s best path for an MBA application? Currently at Deloitte, will stay until 1-2 YOE and then exit to one of the following potential paths:

1. Stay at Deloitte until applying
2. Switch to MBB and then apply
3. Switch to FAANG and then apply
4. Switch to a “T2” tech firm and then apply
5. Quit and join/create a startup and then apply

Do you guys think there will be limited opportunities doing a SE role in a small country (limited clients and potential leads)?

I have a 25K loan from my MBA. I paid off 100k whole, after graduation. 3 years ago, I moved my loan from federal to private ( SOFI) account. I recently lost my job. I have applied for unemployment, as the severance that I received will only cover for 2 months. Together my husband and I used to make less than 250k after tax. Now, with a loss of pay , we are going to make less. Do you think I will be eligible for Loan forgiveness?

Today i got a call from TCS HR, after documents submission. They told we they can provide me 12 lakhs as its their budget for ITA role. My current package is 11 LPA with 10% variable. Also they told for 6.7 years of experience they provide ITA role as i have bachelor's degree. I asked for 18 initially, HR said, will call back in evening.

I’m a boomerang employee and a friend of mine noticed that my company posted a similar job description to mine on indeed 10 days ago. Hi Ladies, First time posting here. Do you have any advice on how you deal with anxiety in meetings? I find myself getting very nervous in meetings that I don’t have time to prepare for. I then tend to be very wordy instead of sharing my point or statement concisely.

Are you guys personally invested in the products that you manage? As in, are you a user? Do you have a personal interest in the product? Have you managed a product that you don't particularly care for? And how is that going?

Our company went through an exercise of redefining product roles - from business analyst, product owner, product manager to assoc pm, pm, senior pm etc. The concept is everyone with same skills - with different competency levels. My question is - what about interest? I am energized by execution, not so much strategy. Is product management for me, or should I be looking at other career paths? Note: I am not overly ambitious, but do want to have a good salary for my retirement savings😉

Do you ever feel guilty for jumping a job within 6 months of joining for a $40k+ salary bump? - not that you should by any means but how do you rationalize it? How do you not get attached to your team/colleagues/etc.?

I’ve been onboarding at a new company for a month. I’ve been assigned to PM something a director in another department originally proposed, but I am really struggling to work out how to deal with her territorialism and defensiveness. She is insisting on being in on every conversation I have with a stakeholder, gets angry if I answer a question asked directly of me, and shoots down literally everything I’ve suggested. Her team will do most of the implementation. Any ideas on how to “manage up”?

I just joined a new company that has many offices. I’m in Canada and plan to move to US eventually. I wasn’t planning to but it came out in my meeting with my new manager. How screwed am I? Does this look like I’m planning my out already?

Has anyone else worked with a manager that’s difficult to get a gauge on whether you’re meeting expectations? Tiny actions suggest that he doesn’t really like me/gel with me.
