This is pure market manipulation, but I welcome the Trump supporters to convince me otherwise. Once again, we're back to "a deal is coming in the next few days".

Donald Trump is a peaceful man. He does not want conflict… if I had to guess… Iran got very scared of him and surrendered. And now we have a deal to look forward to. We are about to enter an era of prosperity & peace an extremely low gas prices

funny

And since he or any of his businesses can't be audited, it's a great opportunity to ring the cash register.

What is the responsibility of an OB hospitalist to advocate for or against sterilization (specifically tubal litigation) if any? I had a very controversial experience with an OB that made me wonder how much we should be trying to influence our patients' decisions "in their best interest." I'm the hiring mgr for designers in my org. I recently discovered pay band information given to me by the HR generalist I'm working with on hiring was outdated and updated bands had been released over the summer (prior to my hire date). The outdated information had led me to believe a prime candidate was out of range. Aside from incompetence, can anyone think of a reason why HR might have withheld information about the pay bands? I assume mgrs see the full monty when it comes to pay...right?

This is my first job in a large corporate company, and I’m trying to gauge how long it normally takes to move from entry level to another internal position in the insurance industry. I have been applying internally for a year now and I am wondering if this is normal or if my company is just slow? I am a top performer, with great metrics, and I have some wonderful connections I’ve made who support me. I just can’t seem to move up. How long did it take you to move up? How many tries did it take?

Today I was watching an old No Reservations episode, where Bourdain was talking about how the Khmer Rouge erased all prior history in Cambodia and made their regime start at Year Zero. There is an eerie parallel between this and what is going on with the Left today. What will happen to our country if everything is destroyed - first, statues; next, the history books; following this, people’s homes and livelihoods; and finally, death to people who don’t agree with the new regime.

I honestly struggle with the politics of Afghanistan. It does appear that after 20 years we leave and within months it goes back to very similar or on its way. It’s not the US job to be the world police we did try to build coalitions and fail at the end of the day unless we’re willing to keep troops there forever which most Americans don’t want to I am not sure what the right thing to do is. And I’m sick of criticism just for the sake of the president. I don’t think there’s a perfect solution

I don’t think people understand what the difference between conservative and liberal judicial philosophies are. Liberal judges see the Constitution as guidelines for the court to interpret and then cement things into law that they deem reflect the current mood of the day, essentially serving as a tool for policymaking outside of the legislative branch. Conservative judges see their role as interpreting what is explicitly in the Constitution and that there are explicit constraints in it (cont’d)
