Pass. Bunch of 40-50something white men who didn’t care about diversity when they were younger now crying a river over ageism.

Before this turns into semantics about something and nothing… w+k is making a point about impressions, based on how the industry has been. it’s pretty important to bring in talent and business by giving off the right impression, like we try to do for our clients.
Yet, the writeup is about the industry and these guys picked a weird time and tone to make themselves known. It can be misconstrued, ie what’s seen above this comment… and that’s not great for business and bringing in talent.
The sentiment is stronger than the execution IMO.

Ripe for success in 1990.
For a website that starts off with “zero fucks” there sure are a lot of “fuck”s in the body copy.
Wow so edgy.

As much as I love the sentiment, an agency full of experience should know that clients don’t want to sell more product. Shareholders do. Clients realize they’re merely a cog in a corporate wheel. It’s a wheel that doesn’t reward greater sales but one that penalizes those for taking the chance.
Clients have family’s, mortgages, etc to pay for. Therefore they only want to reach the same exact numbers that their predecessors have. To risk not following the status quo is too great.
It’s good. I read the whole thing. Can’t say the same for most sites.

They should have stuck with the second part (we have lots of experience) and skipped the first part (we don’t care.)

The second part could’ve been rephrased to something like “we don’t want you to become like us we want you to end up better”
I can picture them trying to sell a lot of print.
Lol good luck to them 👌
Reminds me of the illustrious song Hot Dog by Limp Bizkit: “Ain't it a shame that you can't say "Fuck" Fuck's just a word and it's all fucked up”
I like it.
There's actually a great value to having talent with more experience than I've been alive.
We dismiss too quickly because they're not cool enough, or they're old, or they're too expensive.
But come on... Can the industry really not see value in experience?
