It’s a bad move for moss because they’re not PE owned and baker Tilly is
MA1 Maybe it’s the deferred partner comp not recorded on the books? Seems like that’s what is happening but idk?
It’s the same as most of these transactions. This won’t be the last merger and the race to be a true big4 competitor continues. Winners and losers are determined based on the specific terms of the deal.
Expect considerable redundancies and a long integration process, along with another acquisition in a year or two.
No thoughts at all about it
This cracked me up. Thank you
Baker Tilly or Moss Adams? I feel BT got PE to buy out the retired partners. Does MA do public audits? If so they will need to be spun off. A PE firm owning an Audit is just red flags everywhere.
P1 knows. The MSO structure is simple in concept but pretty messy when you try to carve out for a sale
If they’re in talks with BT they’re in talks with PE separately already as well. BT has done many transactions and there’s never been a leak so I’m somewhat skeptical that this will happen. I could be wrong but it just seems like the leak was intentional by Moss so that they could get more interest from elsewhere.
It is in fact official. lol
