Back in the day, they did not have much offshore help. Sr manager have to do the work themselves. Smaller client. Budget to section. So stressful.
wow, imagine being this racist ouuuuufff
After the merger with BKD and network with mazars, DHG lost their way and it is a firm striving to be a big 4 wannabe on top 15 resources. Culture has seriously struggled, management has no backbone/vision, and the firm is focused on strictly numbers more than ever. They also have strong focus on DEI at the detriment of high-performers when they are trying to figure out how to make the old white male club diverse. They will sell you on not being PE owned, but this firm is really no better than a PE firm or a big 4 - recommendation is to find a firm with better fit/culture unless you can make partner very soon and don’t care about the negatives. But even then - since the merger with BKD there has been SO many partner firings and demotions to MD.
Forgot to mention that I have put in my resignation as a SM with FM, due to all the above. As someone mentioned offshoring, the focus is to use them no matter what and the mazars offices in India (offshoring we are forced to use) are not very good and are charged to WIP at rates that are not much lower than interns and first years.
