It's a fact that the majority of what we call the employed public are in service or retail, jobs that barely support life if at all. In Europe, tips are either included (in France, "Service est Compris") or required at restaurants or food service establishments for this reason. And now we have lots of people doing Door Dash, Uber, or Instacart out of necessity as their primary job. And I can attest, those gigs really don't pay enough to live off of.
Tips mean the difference between being able to buy necessities, like gas, food, medications, utilities, etc.
I'm not quite sure what you mean by "abuse", because I don't know any executives that need tips.

Yeah I agree. I really want this change to help the people it’s meant to help instead of helping rich people continue to avoid more taxes. It’s just scary with the people in power currently, who knows what they have in mind.
