Tips for a BCG experienced hire interview?

Hi , can any recent joiner tell me about the on-boarding processes including the joining day activities in Infosys consulting. I am about to join in this month.

Graduated in April with my PharmD/MBA degrees. I did two great biopharma internships, had my resume professionally edited, perfected my interview skills and started applying to jobs in January. I have talked to 20 plus recruiters maybe 3 have actually gotten me interviews the rest ghost me. I had an amazing interview last week (legit the guy told me they want a 3rd interview and it’s been a week and I texted him and never heard back. What am I supposed to do? I want a remote biopharma job :/

I’m very interested in applying to business schools with a strong social impact / social innovation focus. So far thinking of applying to Stanford, Haas and Yale. Only want to apply to 4 schools max this cycle - anyone have strong thoughts on what school should be the 4th?

So I had a final round with HR of a decent firm, sounded pretty rude entire time, talked to few friends and colleagues, everyone said it is same story of most companies. Any tips and tricks to handle such HRs? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Is it worth it to go back to school for a better track to a FAANG company? The division I’m currently in seems like there are no good opportunities, and I have the funds available to finish my undergraduate full time (Canada). I applied to Amazon before for a highly senior position and made it to final interview so I think I would have a better chance for a new grad type role.

What would your reaction be if the company you applied to asked for you to get permission from your current firm before moving forward? The situation is the company you're applying to is a client of your current firm, and you've already gone through the interview process with the new company. Thoughts?

Hi All, Prior to my final round I received a mail from KPMG HR requesting my last 3 months pay slips and Aadhar, PAN, graduation degree and filled Candidate Application Form. After that I gave my final round 2 days back i.e on Friday & it went really well. Later I didn't receive any communication on whether i am selected or not. Is it a good sign?

There were substantial layoffs at firm and management has denied, saying they were performance related (mostly bullshit). They have not ruled out [further] layoffs in the future.

I don’t want to lose my job, and it would absolutely suck. But I almost feel numb and hard to even get too worked up over the prospect given how emotionally exhausting this year has been. Maybe bcz I feel somewhat safe, but I feel like if it happens, it does, and I’ll find a way to recover/move on.

Pay is High in CITI around 4 LPA over Barclays. Yoe - 6 (Java Full stack)

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

Does your company pay for Gartner membership, and other textbooks/resources?

What Excel add-in do you use that has smart precedents and font/color/fill/number cycling shortcuts? I use Macabacus but lately began to think $24/month is too much to pay for this.
