For you experts... I’m a first-timer (pun!) buying lux watches. I’m looking at an updated model of a JSC (geographic), to be released sometime Q4 this year. MSRP is 12k few questions:
1) what is realistic price ballpark from an AD (I’m not in a hurry)
2) any advice for reaching out to ADs, especially given this isn’t yet released? I.e., any common mistakes to avoid?
3) MSRP includes leather strap, and looking at current model prices, metal strap adds ~2k to price. Sound right?

What are people’s experience with eBay’s “Authenticity Guarantee”? Is it generally fair t rely on?

Looking to purchase my first real watch and I think I want the new Omega Seamaster 300M. Should I get black or blue dial (I will wear this every day) and is it okay to purchase from a Gray market dealer to save over $1k?

The more I think about it the more I like the idea, so unless bowl leader shoots it down: let’s build him a watch. We can select a parts list, I’ll document the process, and then we can donate it in recognition of the work that goes into making this a great space.

I thought the power reserve on DJ41 Ref126333 was about 70hours, but I noticed it’s about 40-48 hours on mine. Wear mine about every other day, but not on weekends and then Monday morning when I go to wear it, it’s dead and have to wind it. Anyone else seeing this?
