To the HR professionals still waiting for the right door to open 🤍
If the search feels quiet right now, that doesn’t mean your impact is. You are skilled, thoughtful, and deeply needed — even when the timing feels off. Keep going. Take breaks. Trust yourself. The right opportunity doesn’t rush… it recognizes you when the moment is right.

I love your posting! I have been without work now for 6 months with roughly 15 years of experience in Employee Relations...shaking my head, but not giving up!

keep going - the right one is waiting for you!

Recruiters and internal Talent teams should at least update candidates who have taken the time to apply — and provide feedback when they decide not to proceed.

Applying for any role takes effort, yet too often candidates are met with silence or generic automated responses. That’s not good practice and it damages trust.

I also keep hearing that “you just need to network harder because the best roles aren’t advertised.” If access to jobs depends more on who you know than what you can do, that feels inherently biased.

Respectful communication and transparent processes should be the standard, not the exception.

Thank you for sharing this. I’ve been searching for a new job for about seven months, and it’s been discouraging, to say the least. I really needed this encouragement.

This is a really nice message! Very true!

This message is needed. I think many HR professionals underestimate their value when the market goes quiet. I remind myself that timing is not a reflection of worth, even when it feels personal.

California peeps. I have a feeling I failed FAR, which is my last exam, but my score isn’t released until May 11. Can I submit the reapplication with the CA Board of Accountancy to speed up the retake and NTS process in case I failed? Or do I need to get my exam score first? I need to pass by mid June, else my REG score expires, hence the rush to resubmit the re-application.
