Well, you see, the thing is...

Because they’re outperforming all the people who don’t even reply to emails and somehow still have jobs.

I only ever ask my coworkers one question at a time because of this. Infuriating

Can’t be wrong if you don’t answer.

I also need the answer 😭

Lmao back in my admin assistant days, I had a boss who had THOUSANDS of unread emails and unanswered meeting requests and then would get upset with me when I didn’t remind her of which meetings she should be attending. She would also skip out on our 1:1s and rarely communicate her work needs to me, but thought it was appropriate for me to call her kids doctor to make an appt. My god I couldn’t stand that woman. Sorry, you just riled up those memories lmao
Nepotism is often the answer.

You survive by only answering half. Ignore the stuff you don’t care about

Because some jobs are not evaluated on productivity but rather on personality/charisma.

Luggage delay claim question

I used Chase explorer to buy tickets for my vacation and luggages were delayed for a month. Per chase term I am entitled $100 a day for 3 days. But the claim agency chase used has been asking for airlines response, which has not came (2month+ now). I am concerned insurance will use this as an excuse to never compensate. Is there a good way to handle this situation?
TIA

What, exactly, are these Archive global creative "rankings" based on? I see people posting/humbled-and-honored'ing on LinkedIn and feel like posting that I'm the #17 CD/AD/Freelancer as ranked by both Better Homes & Gardens AND Cat Fancy Magazines.

How do I be a decent manager to a coworker who's upset I've been promoted twice in two years and they haven't? We started out as coworkers, became decent friends after a few good moments, but went back to simply coworkers after they flubbed a few projects and I had to step in to clean up. I'm non-confrontational but year-end reviews are right around the corner and I'm worried about having to act professional to someone who I got too close with and who now hates me.

It’s hard to be motivated when rounds of layoffs happen and you see all your friends leave. But one thing that’s gotten me through all of this is working out. And when I say workout I mean the most pathetic, sad, barely completed beginner-level cardio dance routines. I’ve somehow forced myself to move while on lockdown and it’s somehow forced me to feel better. Whatever you’re doing, wherever you are: get up and move even if you don’t finish or end up going on a walk. Pls take care of yourself❤️
