What a garbage take.
I’m at a loss for words, but hopefully I don’t need to say anything because anyone with two brain cells knows how important (and thoughtful and creative) producers are.
Producers are the drummers.
And I’ve been blessed to have worked with numerous Neil Pearts. ❤️
All the producers I’ve worked with have been the hardest working, most proactive, creative, and kindest people at the agency. Literally nothing would get made without them and they deserve the most respect.
Whoever said that clearly doesn’t have a clue what they’re doing and shouldn’t be in role higher than intern.
The creatives here standing up for producers ❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹
Of course we’re gonna stand up for producers. I’ve worked with some shitty producers too, but we all know that at the end of the day, the greatest idea in the world would never get made without a producer.
And that person probably has never worked on a real project. The amount of sh$t that producers often have to deal with between clients/account teams/creative is ungodly. Plus you got the budget stuff, the creative decisions, logistics, the national lampoons style problems that always appear, and just quarterbacking the whole damn thing. Good producers are worth their weight in gold.
Rising Star
What’s the point of this post, exactly? Producers are nothing short of magicians and arguably work harder than everyone combined once production starts. The smartest, savviest, most proactive and organized people I have ever worked with, have all been producers.
I feel bad that this person has never experienced the potential of a truly fire producer. They can leave their mark on the work just as much as creatives. And they can often make or break the work.
wow this thread makes me happy. i often feel invisible, and exhausted from how much heart and soul and sweat i put into every job to do the creative justice. glad to be seen sometimes so thank you all ❤️
that makes me… fry guy
I’m at a small shop where the producer communicated that to me in so many words. Saying, ‘I’m just here to make exactly what you ask, in the way you ask’. I wish they used their own taste/choices more often.
