Accenture Hello, this past December I applied to a Devops role at Accenture. I didn’t get the position but I looked on their website and noticed they have an software engineer apprenticeship. I emailed the recruiter about the apprenticeship but she didn’t get back to be. But after telling me I didn’t get the position she did say to wait six months to apply for another position. I really think I would be a good fit for the apprenticeship. What can anyone recommend? Can I possibly get a referral.

There is no “promotion season”. If you are going to get promoted, you would be in consideration for months. The season you are referring to in when they make decision on who from the list will make it - which is primarily driven by budget and stack ranking. It will not be because of recent bench time. Promotion metrics are based on past year or longer- not very recent
EM1 You seem very certain that I'm incorrect, rather than the possibility that the two of us could have different, but equally truthful lived experiences. At my firm, it is a 3 month process. HR has been very clear about timing. The performance review process officially started in late February and promotion results are shared late May, with the effective date of June 1. The promotion process was much easier and shorter when I was at a small firm. Being at a large firm seems to open the door to a lot of bureaucracy.
