I hope this can help other HR who feel stuck, overwhelmed, want to change career or a good reminder of why we do what we do☺️

Knowing yourself, reflecting on your wants/desires/needs and goals is so key to finding success in your professional and personal life. Your why should be enough to get you up and going in the morning, and encourage you to sleep well at night. So important!

I love this. Its soooo true in any profession. When you keep your why at the center of everything you do, it really makes a huge impact on your day to day and the energy you bring to each situation you encounter

As someone who's hanging by a thread, this is such a good reminder. Thank you for this.

I'm a brand new attorney (passed the Feb 2021 bar) who started an in-house counsel position a few months ago (where my focus is negotiating agreements for the sale of my company's software). Is there anything I should think about getting experience in? How should I go about making sure I am seeing enough things?

SPHR exam- has anyone ever been “randomly selected” for an application audit? This just happened to me and the sheer amount of effort that is going to go into collecting all the documents almost makes me not want to follow through. Since I didn’t finish undergrad, they’re asking for a copy of my high school diploma or transcript and that itself is going to be an absolute nightmare to get hold of. New/pivoting into HR! 👋 Currently working as a TA Coord with a little entry level work in HR Ops prior to this. Is there a SHRM link, reliable test, or method of shadowing the various parts of HR that will provide a sample of the work, thinking, and day to day experience of each group? I didn’t go to school for HR and therefore haven’t had the opportunity to sample HR Ops. vs. TA vs. Comp vs. Benefits vs. Payroll, etc. I know work experience is the best barometer, but what can supplement this?
