Haha you know you want the Tesla.
I, a complete stranger on Fishbowl, give you complete and utter authority to purchase the Tesla. I absolve you of any doubt and future regret, and wish you the best with the many smiles of satisfaction that will be formed upon your face every time you look at your shiny new car.
Those are good choices, but have you considered a pair of Levis or a slice of pizza?
LOL Yes, sooo true. Econ 101, everything is “Pizza or Soda?”
Eat them and see which one you like?

Never liked that phrase. Apples and oranges are totally easy to compare.
They’re such drastically different cars. How can this decision not be any more clear?
You need to buy both.

Sell the highlander and make it happen!

Neither. go with a Lamborghini Urus instead

If you’re considering a minivan I’m guessing you have a family... does your family have any other vehicles? What are they?
🥺
Do you need more space? Like do you have young kids? I don’t get how anyone can possibly be choosing between these 2 things
Yeah, have young kids. Our current vehicle (Highlander) is big enough for the people, but not people + stuff. My spouse REALLY wanted the Highlander, so we got it, but I feel like we need something with more space and better fuel efficiency. And I actually like minivans (if you don't plan to go off-road, SUVs are overrated).
On the other hand, the Highlander fits everybody and I can always put stuff on a roof rack or something. And a Tesla would be more fun.

Apple is red. Sometimes, it’s green. Or yellow.
Orange is well orange.
Apple grows on tree. So is orange.
Apple is crispy. Orange is juicy.
You can eat the skin for apple. You can’t for orange. But you can dry them and cook.
Thx.

Get the Toyota. Any mechanic in the country can work on it vs Tesla which is going to take a LOT more labor over its lifetime
Do Teslas require much maintenance? I thought low maintenance was one of the selling points?
Why not an X? Get best of both worlds. Or, get an x and ditch the Toyota.
Yeah, I'm all for a minivan. Our Odyssey was very comfortable. But, spouse really wanted the Highlander and I like seeing my spouse happy. Now I'm considering getting a minivan for "my" car instead of a Tesla🤔

Try comparing them based on the health benefits. Calcium, vitamins, and such.

Figure out what you're buying the car for first. A Sienna is definitely more utilitarian for a family than a Model 3. A Model 3 is fairly spacious, but no match for a minivan. The Model 3 is one of the most fun vehicles to drive out there right now though.

I'm an older millenial too, but I love my Model 3. It's practical and fun. But definitely can see the need for more space in certain circumstances (have a bigger SUV for when I need the room).

Only after you answer the Joy vs Utility question, can we help you compare Apples to Oranges.
apple = orange 🤯

Get both!
Sienna??? Odyssey pls
And awd

Neither of those options are apples or oranges...
Might I recommend a Toyota Sequoia for your large family. It’s worth it over the sienna. Fits more too.
Yeah, I didn't want the Highlander because it only gets 22mpg. I think it's the combination of the engineer in me and the efficiency seeking consultant. I intentionally drive in a way to maximize MPG. It's a fun game to pass the miles. 🤷🏼♂️ I used to be able to easily get >30mpg out of our 2014 Odyssey if I tried.
