Tomorrow's Canada Day and a mid-week day off for most! How do you spend stat holidays with your job search? Do you treat them like a weekend and chill with your family and friends, or do you keep the searching work up? I take the day off of the stress of job searching most of the time. In my mind, recruiters and hiring managers are also not working that day so there's not much uptake that I can actually get those days. Also, who doesn't like BBQ and beaches? :)

I am currently a Senior Consultant in KPMG Australia’s human capital advisory function - however I have been recently offered a role with Accenture Australia’s human capital advisory function as an ‘Associate Manager’ with a 15K salary bump and an enticing bonus structure - with some very cool clients that they mentioned to me in their interview round. The issue is, my KPMG Partner has mentioned that I *may* be up for promotion nxt July. I am so stuck, not sure whether to take it or not.

I'm interviewing with KKR for a Principal role in their real estate group. All online salary resources are all in alignment with a total comp of $200k+. I'm assuming based on the average salary reported across these portals for principal that those figures apply to the RE group as well. Anyone have any direct knowledge or can speak to that group's comp?

Does anyone know if principals are in cubicles or doe they get an office?

So I was offered a role in Strategy Consulting in after 2 years in Risk Consulting however, after 2 years I’ve only worked on Internal audit engagements few ad hocs such as updating risk register and the delegation of authority matrix.

Honestly speaking I am doing good and I am up for promotion in October however I am not fully enjoying my time but I fear that the move would not be a good and I can’t hit the ground running which scares me.

I’ve been working as an APM at my current company for 1yr, and have basically been doing the work of a full blown PM the entire time. I’ve lead several features from start to finish and made sure to mention in my resume that I have been doing everything a regular PM does. Has anyone ever hired an APM for a PM role or done it yourself? Any tips? Advice?
