Conventional wisdom on current firm counter-offering when mentioning you have a few offers? I have an offer at a large firm in Miami. Current large firm has no office there but mentioned they can likely let me be there in a remote basis. BCG and a few other law blog sites have advised against accepting current firm counter-offers, e.g., likely to leave, not loyal, off partner track, etc., but would love to hear everyone’s thoughts.

My attention to detail, on a scale of 1 to 10, has to be a 3. I can't find the fix. What would you rate your attention to detail? And if you started out bad, how did you fix it?

Received an invite from EY last week saying they want to have an office visit this Fri. I confirmed and didn't receive finalized time/logistic even now. Are they just usually this slow or what?

When my counselor told me I was a 3 I said, "I would have been really surprised if you would have told me I was a 2... but I would have been equally surprised if you would have told me I was a 5."

Feel like audit scheduling is always done on a knifes edge in that the timeline and staff schedules are enough so that if everyone works 60 hour weeks and no issues are identified then it can be filed on time. But even small things that increase the work can wildly throw off the schedule and cause hours to skyrocket for the staff on the job. No real point here, just ranting.
