How do you pick your fights with management during promotion year for scheduling?

Need help, I have relevant experience and good reputation among team. I want promotion in this cycle to manager level but the thing is the seniors I have, managers and senior managers are with PwC SDC for long time, so they are not ready to promote me with 4.5 years of experience. Can you please guide me on how can make it work?

For anyone who receives a quarterly bonus or raise in some form, does your employer start to schedule you for less hours when your raise kicks in, or pull you from a future schedule entirely once you receive a bonus; only to put you back on once the hours you would have worked and earned the amount given are passed? Ie; a part time employee getting $200.00 in a quarterly bonus and then not being scheduled a whole week during a bi-weekly pay period where they would have earned more on the clock…?

Just got a “Sheraton Vacations” special offer to basically get 5 nights at a Florida property for $250.

I read the fine print and other than a need to be flexible in terms of when you book, it doesn’t seem like there is a catch.

Anyone familiar with this “promotion” and what the downside might be? Or are they just looking to drive revenue to their other areas (restaurants, spa, etc) with a cheap room?

At a different job I had a customer trying to swindle me in telling me that there was a deal in an item that never had a deal or promotion for sale so he made me scan the item 20 times before believing me. Thoughts on “special” salary grades. I just found out the VP I was offered is not a grade 12 like most comparable roles (verified). Also not an 11, but an 11A. Slightly higher than an 11, a good bit lower than a 12. All due to the fact that it’s a leap from my current position. Why should that matter…..shouldn’t it pay what it should pay if I am selected, rather that curving down towards my current rate?
