Two years into public accounting, and I'm having doubts about whether this industry is sustainable for me. I got into it for the exit opportunities and structured career path, but the long hours and repetitive work are wearing me down. Is this just a phase, or should I be looking at other options already?

I got a call from KPMG HR for the role of Associate consultant in research team, When she asked me about the expected ctc, I think I quoted less than the market standards but since I am underpaid currently so the amount I quoted was 40-45% hike on my fixed. I have experience of 2.9years
Can anybody please suggest if I clear their interviews will they consider increasing CTC from whatever I quoted becase upon searching for ACon roles they pay much higher than what I quoted.

I had cleared all the rounds in S&P and had salary discussion 1.5 month back. The HR is always saying the management is on leave and will soon get the approval and release offer. Today she shas asked for one more week to release the offer. Should I wait for it or move on. Are they waiting for some other candidate to join before rejecting me at last moment. Only 10 days of my LWD are left.

I like in Oklahoma where I make 34K per year. Houses aren't that expensive but on top of my other expenses, saving for a house seems nearly impossible.
