Do EY GDS do background verification for all my previous employers ?
They have asked me to submit document only for last employment for BGV which first advantage is doing. And offer letter mentions to submit only exp/relieving letter for last 2 employers as applicable while joining.
Little confused as I am have bad experience with one of my employer.

Hey fishes, I am hearing Tiger Analytics is rescinding offer letters floated to candidates. One of my acquaintance was supposed to join as analytics consultant but they rescinded the offer 3 weeks before his DOJ. Does anyone have information regarding this?

Just got another rejection... Is exiting to FAANG or MB really this hard? Trying to go tech.. or mbb, but not getting anywhere. I have 2 masters (mba, ms) from top schools, been in consulting for over 10 years, I am confident that I know my stuff well..but still I keep getting rejected. Interviewed with Google, Amazon, Cisco, McKinsey, and a few others and every-time there is something that is not a match... are the hiring managers looking for like 100% match? That will never happen!!!

Just got a job offer at an agency I’m really excited about, but it’d be a complete lateral move. Same position and same amount of pay now. Is it worth it? Or should I wait until I’m able to move someplace with a pay increase or title move? I’m pretty unhappy right now at my current agency and job. But was really hoping for an increase somewhere. Thoughts?

I'm currently working as ETL tester @ Infosys, 5Yoe, cctc: 6.5
Going for my first switch, and got offer from CTS with 11.5 ctc as etl tester.
My lwd is jan 2nd.
I got trained in Selenium in java and i think my selenium concepts/understandings are good, need some brush up on testng.
So is it advicable to kick start and brushup Selenium+ TestNG concepts in 1 month and go for automation role interviews as i dont have experience in realtime automation projects. Good or bad idea?

I'm having trouble. I have a client who is going from a climbing company, to a fitness company. They have a product that lets them expand from where they are. I am failing to sell them on the importance of strategy and taking a step back. Honestly, I don't even know that I'm sold on it. But I feel like it's important. Anyone have ideas on how to argue for this? Happy to share more info

What’s the smallest space you can get by with for a pretty basic woodworking setup?

Recommendations for a book, website, or YouTube channel for beginner woodworking projects? I have a very good contractor table saw, orbital sander, and a few other basic tools...and would like to tackle a few projects to see if woodworking is something I really enjoy. I have three daughters ages 7, 11, and 13 so projects that could become gifts would be an added bonus.

Hi woodworkers! I’m pretty young (24) and therefore not super established in one spot — what’s the best way to get started in woodworking without needing to buy a bunch of equipment? Are there like pay-to-use woodshops or something?

Any tips on setting up a garage shop? My roommate is moving out, so I'll have half a garage to set up. Thinking about installing a dust curtain. What would you recommend for a starter shop re: outlets, dust collection, etc.?

I just bought a new table saw and I need dust collection! The manufacturer says a shop vac won’t be enough. What do any of you use for dust collection?

Sat down tonight and forced myself to learn Sketchup in order to design some cabinets for a bathroom remodel.... it’s literally a game changer. It will even orient your grain pattern and spit out an optimized plywood cut diagram. Really cool.

Using this as an excuse to pick up a big ‘ol bandsaw, biscuit joiner, moar clamps & a dust collection system! Taking a week off to build the majority of it and then will finish it up in the evenings.
