I don’t own one, but I’m jealous and would love to get a proper cabinet saw.

My neighbor has a PM2000 and had to make the same decision. He said he decided to go with the powermatic because “it costs a couple hundred dollars to replace the blade and brake cartridge when the SS trips”.
It was a confusing take, to be honest, as I imagine the $200 it costs to slap a new cartridge and Forrest WWII on the saw pales in comparison to the cost of replacing you finger.
I’ve never met anyone with a SS and am genuinely curious to hear a first hand account of the saw.
Yeah I’d agree, that’s an interesting take. The copay for an ER visit is going to cost more than the new brake cartridge and blade lol

I don’t own either but I’ve certainly spent a good amount of time looking. I can’t say that I’ve ever heard anyone say anything negative about either. That doesn’t really help other than to say that I don’t think you can go wrong.
