She’s spent time with me and I walked around with her while she explores. And she’s ventured solo. Seemed she’s warming up well. Except this again. I admit it’s giving me horrible anxiety that she won’t respond at all until I locate her because even I’m learning where things are and want her to be safe. This is the third time 😭

Do most firms start reporting years in September or January? Prior firm did an August year for counting hours and then another did January (both Amlaw 200). Looking at an Amlaw 100 to lateral in the fall (so trying to anticipate how much of the year I’ll have). I’ll ask what bonus/reporting year but just curious if most follow the same.

I wasn’t sure which bowl to solicit advice from so hoping to catch a bite here. I’m currently in ID. Of course, I want OUT! My interests are L&E and corporate. My options are 1) wait it out where I am in hopes to switch to L&E or 2) in house oil and gas industry transactional work. What would you do and why? I figured this bowl being specific to Texas would understand importance of oil and gas industry.

I’m not having much luck with recruiters or applying directly to firms and companies, so I’m thinking of hiring a career coach to help me hone my applications, cover letters, etc. Any suggestions?

What do you think of the LSAT decision? Personally I think it might be a little unfair to suddenly abolish it when hundreds of thousands of students have had to take it over the last few years and beyond. But I get that it's expensive. Anyways, good idea or bad idea?
