I'm being brought on as an AN2 instead of AN1.

The bank doesn't have a 3 year program, it's 2 years for analysts.

Is the assumption that if I kill it over the next year I would get the nod for A2A in Jan25/Feb25?

The group is relatively busy and has a strong backlog and promising pipeline.

I would have ~2.5 yeo in Jan25, similar to their normal A2A track.

I have started my career in backend web development. (NodeJS)
It's been one year.
So far I like what I'm doing.
However I hear so many stories of how people in cloud , ML or data science earn huge packages.
So, to survive or earn well, should I consider switching to any of these ?
If possible could you help me with what to learn and any resources for that ?

A colleague told me today that Google separates Product Manager and Product Owner as two separate roles. Lateraled into banking and I'm getting killed. My aso will mention to do stuff as he's walking out, says do this this and this and by the time I process what he said he's out the door then I miss something he's like I told you to do it. I just received an offer to lateral into banking. How does independence affect the stocks I currently own? If I join and my stocks are on a restricted list will I have to sell them? Or will I be limited to being unable to buy more/sell any during the course of my employment.
