Hi all.
Has anyone in IBM been on bench for more than 4 months here?
I have been on bench for almost 4 months now & have been getting automated mails asking me to get assigned to a project by searching one by myself, else necessary action might be taken.
And are there any chances of being straightaway fired based on these automated mails?
I would genuinely need an advise from someone who is aware of this kind of situation.
Thanks in advance

Agree with EY1, the only “job security” you ever have is your ability to deliver. With that said, would have to consider if your reasons for leaving make enough sense (good examples: switching to another service line, significant comp increase/promotion not available at current firm. Bad example: burnt out and think it might be better elsewhere. It rarely is).

If a new firm invests time and money to hire you, they want a return. You probably wouldn’t be first on the chopping block
Deloitte is LIFO, it happened in June 2020 when they fire two people who started two months before.
If you’re miserable: definitely leave. If you’re just curious what else is out there: then yes you should probably hold off.
