Was thinking about leaving one B4 for another. Should I hold off due to the coming recession/possible layoffs?

Agree with EY1, the only “job security” you ever have is your ability to deliver. With that said, would have to consider if your reasons for leaving make enough sense (good examples: switching to another service line, significant comp increase/promotion not available at current firm. Bad example: burnt out and think it might be better elsewhere. It rarely is).

Deloitte is LIFO, it happened in June 2020 when they fire two people who started two months before.

If you’re miserable: definitely leave. If you’re just curious what else is out there: then yes you should probably hold off.

What makes you think that your current B4 won’t lay you off if there is a recession.
