Is it misleading to just look at Total Compensation from a $ dollar value/ Total Compensation seems to be much more subjective than base salary in terms of its value. Some factors might be:

RSUs granted on dollar value or by # of shares & stock price trends
Vesting schedule
strike price on ISOs & delta between strike price and real market value

For instance, most of value in Amazon's comp seems to be granted in years 3 & 4, but it's well known that most people last only 2 years max there.

An agency recruiter is trying to convince me to move into a GSVP account role, assuring me "at that level it's all strategy." (I dont think she understands the words she's using. I'm emotionally hit hard from my job, and would like someone to ground me a bit. I joined the new shop last month, with the team who we realized has zero pharma experience. We recently were put on a pitch because our client noticed this. Meanwhile my counterparts of this account has just won more budget, and openly recognized by our client leads. I really wanted to make a difference and step up as a leader, but I have been told there's nothing I should do by my boss. I feel like a failure..
