Staying organized is the only way I stayed sane. Whatever that means for you, for me hubby bless his heart is so sweet and wants to help but completely clueless so I created a workplan on google sheets and assigned owners and due dates (consultant thing to do, I know but it worked). Once venue was picked and save the dates were sent, I felt a whole lot better. I also really liked the Knot and their website feature was a blessing as it was great for people to find info themselves instead of asking me. I also had a master spreadsheet with list of vendors, amount owed/ payed, budget to actual comparison to stay on track... I also had an ethnic 2 day event so multiply it all by 2. Stress will be your middle name, cry if you have to, take a walk, take a day off, find your happy place and have fun. Congratulations and good luck!
Start with the knot and enter all those to dos into a spreadsheet. Include costs and due dates, and update as you go
Organization: Google sheets with budget, guest list, and checklist tabs. The knot website. Paperless post invites.
I like WeddingWire over the Knot...their guest list management tool seemed better. But yes to a google sheet with tabs for vendors, guest lists, etc
First thing to figure out is venue/date...then you have an anchor and can go from there
