Yeah. Don’t live in NJ. You didn’t move across the globe to live in NJ.

Expect a much faster pace than Australia, but mostly the same tasks. Your experience will vary hugely depending on the agency culture. Some in NYC are extremely account-led (Publicis NY, Wunderman Thompson), others give creative all the power (WK, BBDO). Some have very pleasant working hours (Grey, Saatchi) some are insane sweatshops (Anomaly, Johannes Leonardo). All those details aside, if you can handle M&C Saatchi you’ll be fine at any agency in NYC. Have fun while you’re here, you work hard and you play hard. Expect to be challenged, frustrated, but in the end, to love it. PS: if you can afford it, live in Brooklyn, not Jersey

Live in Jersey. Commute to the city. For the rent. 75k - 90k is a good range for holding company agencies. Knock on as many doors as you can. Create a network and work with talent recruiters I made the move to NYC four years ago. Good luck!

Very high rent

Check out Glassdoor

Rent is on par with Sydney. Most budgets these days are spent in partnerships. You should do well especially if you can force those partners to give your clients true value.

It's a very chill job (9-5) with good people but limited opportunity to growth. 2) from a consulting company in NYC as a data science consultant, 130k + 10k signing bonus. Which one you choose? why?

Maybe I just miss seeing people at work or seeing people at all. I wonder if we’ll ever get back to that.
