I think a fun ice-breaker can be a great way for your team to get acquainted with one another and make sure that you guys are comfortable working together!
Maybe try planning a weekend trip that's for your team only. Select a place that allows you all to be together and conduct many activities for them to get to know each other.
I think a good idea would be for you to invite them all to a Friday night out at a bar or restaurant. A few drinks, good conversations and music. I would love it if my manager thought of fun things for us to do!
One option is to have an informal social gathering, such as a potluck or happy hour. This type of activity allows people to interact in a relaxed environment, building relationships that can be beneficial for teamwork.
You could have team-building exercises where groups are asked to solve tasks together in order to foster collaboration. These activities may include things like scavenger hunts or group problem-solving puzzles. Finally, you could also set up dedicated times for individual team members to share something about themselves - this could either be work-related or simply personal interests or hobbies that the rest of the team didn't know about them before.
I think it goes beyond what activities you set up, it's important to create an environment where everyone feels comfortable expressing themselves and interacting with each other in order to maximize the effectiveness of your efforts at building better teamwork!
In the old school, we used to go to a bar and share a company, now we have bars where they brew their own beer so you add something intellectual to everything, surely a beer or 2 will allow you to improve the work environment.
In our office once every 3 months they do an excursion trip, usually, it is a Friday in working time and it is a surprise, the last time we went to an amusement park and the one before that we went to the museum.
I started making teams of people who don't usually speak to play charades, it turned out to be a very good exercise and now they only wait until the end of the month to play charades, the work environment totally improved because people started talking to each other, charades teams always They are different and everything flows.
Usually, we do a raffle where a group of 3 people chooses a Friday outing, we make these 3 people come from 3 different departments and reach a midpoint, it has really been something spectacular, people enjoy visiting places they usually would not go, and congratulate that other person who promotes the idea.
We have a quarterly meeting in the warehouses, every time we have the party it is with a theme, and the responsibility between departments changes, which makes everyone work towards sharing things started out simple but now it is very elaborate, that is, they compete healthily To do it well.
Every time the objectives are met, the company invites everyone to the movies, or an amusement park, or a water park. We currently have a great goal where if we achieve it, we will celebrate with a weekend trip to the mountains, all paid for by the company and with the objective of making the work environment continue to grow.
