The one thing that's always a dealbreaker for me would be micromanagement. I just can't stand to have someone over my shoulder all the time and making suggestions or giving inane critiques. Just back off and let me work and everything will be fine.

Gossip. If a company is rife with petty and childish gossip, I will make my exit. Especially if it's coming from management, which happens more than people realize.

In the IT sector, being limited to maintaining legacy or outdated technology can inadvertently create a negative perception among potential future employers. They may mistakenly assume a lack of adaptability or modern skill set, even when the underlying issue is the current employer's delayed adoption of modern technological standards.
A toxic work environment is a 100% deal breaker. Why would you want to be miserable the whole day, everyday, day after day? Do what you love always. Life is too short to waste on a toxic job.
A year ago I would’ve said yes you’re correct. All of these are red flags and I wouldn’t have worked for a company like this. However, six months of without a job has made me more willing to put up with a lot of crap.
