What are my chances of getting a TPM, program manager, or other management role at a big tech company (Microsoft, Google, Amazon) after my MBA if I was only a senior associate (4 yoe) prior to my MBA? Especially if its an m7 MBA?

Hi everyone! I’ve been working as a product manager in an internal consulting department at Kaiser Permanente a on software product that maps and automates clinical workflows. Although my title is a consultant, my role entails the usual responsibilities of a PM (prioritizing builds and features, identifying business requirements, mapping user journeys and stakeholder management). Does anyone have any advice on ways to break into tech or suggestions of companies to look into?

Does anyone pursuing FIRE actually like their current job? Trying to get a grasp of how much of the FIRE movement is driven by escapism from unfulfilling work.

My co-worker was hired in at manager level but somehow “proved” he was actually doing director level work and got a title promotion and salary increase in less than a year. I also went above and beyond my job as well (covering for him for a month while he was away on paternity leave) while taking on other projects outside of my job title and got zip—no raise or recognition. I'm a third year plaintiff's employment law attorney and I'm looking to move to defense, preferably still in employment law. I received an offer from a midsize firm that primarily focuses on PI with little-to-no employment law practice, so I'll have a bit of a learning curve. Offer is $90k, billable hours of 2100. Is this reasonable? I'm dead-set on leaving my current job, and this would be a $20k pay increase - which makes me believe I'm leaning towards taking it for those reasons only.

He told that my resume will be forwarded to hiring manager.i was told If I gets shortlisted , I would receive a link to fill candidature by evening. Still no response. Does this is the procedure for recruiting in HCL? . If it so, I didn't receive link, so I am rejected?

Got the outcome call from my interview with Amazon and the team moved on to another candidate but they want to show my resume to others hiring managers? Any tips ? Recruiter said I won't have to go through the full loop again but just a call with the hiring managers I am interested in.

Considering joining a small 50-person company as the only attorney (prior attorney is retiring). (I am currently in-house at a F50). For others who have done the same path, what surprises did you have when moving from a large company to a small one?

Let's say I'm selling a house that has appreciated in the past year. If the buyer does an appraisal and it comes back under, are we screwed? What can I do to mitigate this situation? I'd imagine this happens a lot with bidding wars and homes going significantly over asking. Does the buyer then offer to waive the contingency or is that something I have to ask them to?
