Depends on your background and skill set I think. 90 seems too low for the US, and I think 160 is only achievable if you have an MBA from a target school (or potentially if you come in at the top of the pay band as a SC3)
Agreed. 160ish probably top range for MBA or specialized skillset/experience. I think 140 is probably closer to top range average.
90s I think if op doesn't have much life experience.
I was thinking 90 is low as well. Is it safe to assume SC1 is around 100-110?
I would shoot for 6 digit. So yes you can floor it at 100. Maybe aim for 120. Hard to say not knowing your background or experience (and how you present yourself in front of clients and interviews)
I can’t speak for experienced hires; I’m SC1 and 129 base, but that’s with strong ratings every year (+big bump from the market adjustment this year)
Hopefully some experienced hires also comment here - they can give more insight on negotiations.
