Let me look into my crystal ball here...
Yep - you'll be fine OP.
Also Powerball numbers are 02 20 49 60 67 20
You're welcome
Wouldn’t it be crazy if those numbers were actually it 🧐

If I lived in another country and saw the shit happening in the US, I'd want to ban us from entering until 2021 at least. But who knows
I think the flight itself isn’t the issue. It’s travel restrictions and social distancing in place where you’re visiting. Guarantee you won’t have a normal international trip until mid 2021
I think the flight will be the issue.
Both my dad and brother are pilots for major airlines and have been furloughed til October, even if flights are safe, the availability and last-minute cancellations of routes will still be a huge issue this summer

You can have all the numbers you want but it'll never be 90% safe by August. Maybe by the end of this year and that's still a big maybe. The guy who used the SIR model to model the spread of Corona estimates 2 years for it to be 90% or plus safe

Suppose the flight is safe. You get to where you’re going and then the second wave of virus hits and the US shuts its border to international travel or the country you are in shuts its border.

I have a trip booked in September to South America. While I may technically be able to go...what kind of trip will it be if I and everyone else is wearing masks, I must maintain distance, not touch anyone or anything, no food from vendors, being worried about the hotels, busses, much less human connection etc etc....not gonna be that awesome if you ask me.... I see a 99% chance of me postponing.

As safe as it can be. You should take precautions. This is never going to truly go away. There will be a new normal, even though people will not want to hear that.

Depends on where you’re going. Factors to take into consideration are plane routes/availability, international visas/quarantine rules, local lockdown rules, healthcare/travel insurance.
I’m in Aus and they’ve told us not to expect to go anywhere until 2021. They might open up to NZ before that though.
Pro
I’d probably be ok with at-home quarantine (as long as I could still hang out with my parents) but it doesn’t really seem enforceable/ there’s a reason they had to do the whole hotel AFP thing.
And yeah sounds like Aus is close to eradicating it, they won’t be letting people in from this barbaric country too easily.

We’re evaluating this too. One consideration is if you get the virus in, for example, Morocco, then I’d be concerned about their hospital system and the cost of treatment.
Stay safe above everything. As a data point, we’re looking to postpone to later in the year but won’t book anything until there’s more certainty

Yes but insurance coverage is a question mark. So too is a language barrier. This likely won’t happen but remains a concern
It’ll be 50% safe not 90%.
