The Light Between Us. My friend just passed away and left instructions to have copies mailed to her closest friends. It’s an incredible book about lessons for the living from the other side. I believe it is applicable to leadership because it underscores how we are all connected as humans and all that matters is love.
I love that book. It's so moving. I remember that whenever I wasn't reading it, I was thinking about it, and I even cancelled plans to go home and continue reading it!

Glad We Met: The Art and Science of 1:1 Meetings by Steven G. Rogelberg. Highly recommend, great advice not only for those in leadership positions but I am also finding it helpful for student advising.

The Farmer's Wife by Helen Rebanks. It's something of a companion memoir to the popular book by her husband, James Rebanks. They are farmers in England who specialize in an ancient breed of sheep. Their writing touches upon family, the value of work, tradition, folklore, and lots of animal lore. I'm enjoying it, it's a good reminder for us of how hard some people work in very unpredictable environments. Puts my gripes and grievances into perspective, I must say.
I was actually looking for a new read. I just finished reading Pride and Prejudice and was looking for a new book. I am going to add the ones mentioned above to my reading list for sure.
The Blend. I'm about to have my first baby, and I want to know how to manage my career and ambitions alongside a family. It's really helpful!
